Day 3: Grow your audience

Lesson 5 Module 3

Welcome to day 3 of the Do Six Figures business bootcamp. Today I'm going to show you how to get free traffic to your website and grow your audience.

You need to find a way to get in front of your target audience. And fast.

Since your niche solves a problem, you need to be found where people go to seek solutions.

There are three popular places where people go to seek help online: Google, YouTube and Pinterest.

While a strategy for all 3 is great, you need to focus on one traffic source at a time.

And because getting traffic from Google and YouTube takes longer, I'm going to focus on Pinterest.

Pinterest, just like Google, is a search engine. People go on Pinterest to get ideas for things they want to achieve.

For example: make money, lose weight, try a recipe, go travel, parenting help, fashion and home decor ideas.

In other words, the most profitable niches are very popular on Pinterest.

Let's tap into the power of Pinterest by getting your account set up first.

Step 1. Create a Pinterest business profile

  • Create a Pinterest business profile here.
  • Complete your profile.
  • Verify your domain name.
  • Create boards relating to your niche.
  • Populate your boards with other users’ content.

Step 2. Create and publish a pin on Pinterest

Go to canva.com and search for Pinterest to use one of their free templates.

Design a pin for one of your blog articles. When ready, save the file and post it to a relevant board on Pinterest.

You’re going to want to create multiple pin images for each of your pieces of content.

To get traffic from Pinterest, continue creating and sharing your new content consistently.

Step 3. Sign up for Tailwind

Pinterest has said they reward not only fresh original content, but also consistency.

You're going to need a Pinterest scheduler like Tailwind to maintain this consistency. It's who I use to schedule my pins months in advance.

Sign up to Tailwind for free here.

We’re almost done!

Tomorrow I’ll go over how to best monetize your blog/website.
